This book was the first thing I spotted that I wanted- Beeton's Book of Household Management. I love the font and the odd size (4.5"x7" and 2 .75" thick!),
I love the first two pages,
I love the chapters (Mistress, Housekeeper, Cook, Kitchen-Maid, Footman, Coachman, Valet, Lady's Maid, etc.) and I love the original copyright of 1861. This was a second printing from 1969.
This book was $2 which is more than I usually pay for an old book, but I think it was worth it. And no, I don't plan to cut this one up!:)
ThisI had a good book haul today. I got several books and they all cost only a quarter each.
I truly cannot pass up an old text book!

Isn't this sweet? Copyright 1944.
I think this would make a cute cover for a baby themed scrapbook.
How about these covers? Again, I'm thinking child themed scrapbook.

And when is the last time you've seen one of these? Got it for a quarter and it's not going to be used as a clothes hanger at this house. I've got my wheels turning trying to figure out what I can do with it.
My final purchase was this old key for a nickel. Isn't it unusual looking?
Well, I got all that at one store. Only $3.55 plus tax. Man, I love thrift stores!
Thanks for stopping by and God bless.
