Recipe of the Week #169- Sugared Peanuts

Sugared Peanuts
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
2 cups raw shelled peanuts
1/4 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Dissolve sugar and salt in water in saucepan over medium heat. Add peanuts. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until peanuts are completely sugared (coated and no syrup left). Pour onto cookie sheet and spread peanuts so they are separated as much as possible. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Let cool and serve.

Oh. My. Word. These little devils are delicious! You know what's crazy? I don't even like peanuts, but I couldn't stop eating these!!! They were a big hit with my family as well, so I'll be making these again.

I'm wondering . . .maybe I'd like green beans if I they were coated in sugar?!?

Thanks for stopping by and God bless.
