Thrifty Thursday #195

I am on several email lists for estate sale notifications.
I had gotten one email about an estate sale that was going to be in town,
and it listed lots of things that I wanted to see.
All week, I intended to go to the sneak peek on Thursday,
but Thursday came, and I forgot about it.
I was sitting at a stop sign on my way to pick up my son looking at my emails on Thursday afternoon and realized that I hadn't gotten to it.
Would you believe that not one mile down the road, I drove past signs for that very estate sale?!?
Seriously!

I was a few minutes late picking up my son, and here's why. . .

Check out this old label maker. It still works.
It has a smaller font than the modern label makers. I got it for $2.
Love it!

I couldn't pass up this trophy. I've been wanting one in this style.
I plan to make it a cute pencil/paintbrush holder.
I paid $4 for it.
It's actually older than I am:)

I always love finding old unused papers.
I got this pack of graph paper for a dime.

I got this practically new box of vintage labels- and they are still sticky!
I totally love them.
They were fifty cents.

My final unique find of the day was this tiny metal clipboard (7"x 4 1/4").
I'm not sure what I'll do with it, but I surely couldn't pass it up.
It was only a quarter.

I am so glad I stumbled across this sale!
I hope you find a good sale this week.

Thanks for stopping by and God bless.

Be strong and of good courage;
do not be afraid, nor be dismayed,
for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Thrifty Thursday #54

I went to an estate sale that was in our neighborhood. It was a three day sale and I went on the second day, so everything was 25% off the marked price.
Estate sales are so fun because you get to walk through the entire house- kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, the backyard, and even the garage. Although, they're also a little bittersweet because somebody's life is laid out before you- all with price tags.

I got this set of three vintage handkerchiefs for $2.25.

Aren't they pretty?

I've seen lots of cute projects using old hankies. Once I get enough of these, I'd like to sew them into a cute cafe curtain for my kitchen.

I also picked up this set of gray pearls for $1.50. I'll use them to make bracelets.

And I got this very old pattern for fifty cents. I cannot pass up one of these!

Come back next Thursday to see what I picked up when I went back for the final day of the sale.

I hope you all have good luck with your yard sale-ing adventures this week! Thanks for stopping by and God bless.

I am there in the midst of them.
