I only found two books at the first thrift store- one about Bible customs that I may be able to incorporate into my Sunday school lessons and this one. . .
I could not pass up this awesome Reading textbook from the fifties.
I absolutely love the graphics!
The second thrift store offered only two items that interested me- clipboards. A bargain at a quarter each, if I do say so myself!
I always like to have a couple of these on hand. They look really cute hanging on the wall with a photo (instead of a frame).
At the third thrift store, I thought this might be my only purchase.
I couldn't pass it up, though. It was only a quarter and this mug will be cute sitting at my craft desk holding some sort of supply.
I was on my way to the checkout when I spotted a box sitting off by itself. I had to check it out- Bell jars! A set of nine of them with lids- the seals haven't even been used. They were marked $4, but I asked if they'd take three dollars, and they agreed. That's less than fifty cents a jar!
(My hubby has lots of tomato plants growing in the garden, and I'm hoping to be able to jar some homemade spaghetti sauce this fall.)
At the end of my little trip, I had only spent six dollars and that includes my Diet Coke from Sonic. Sweet!
Thanks for stopping by and God bless.
Giving thanks always for all things to God the
Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
