Tiny Chalkboard Necklace

Today I'd like to show you how to make this cute little chalkboard necklace.

To make it, you'll need:
chalkboard spray paint
painter's tape
a flat charm that looks like a frame (mine came from Hobby Lobby- The Jewelry Shoppe Findings: Ornate Rectangle Bezel- Antique Silver)
necklace chain- I used a ball and chain style
one jump ring
optional: white paint pen, tiny bow

First, you need to tape off the edges of the charm with painter's tape.
Then paint it with your chalkboard spray paint. (We did three coats.)
Allow 24 hours to dry.

Attach it to the necklace with a jump ring.
Voila! You now have a mini chalkboard necklace!

Now is the fun, but optional part.
Using the paint pen, you can add your own message.
Be aware that if you want to be able to change you message, you should just use regular chalk.
I finished mine off by adding a tiny bow with a Glue Dot.

I think this would be a delightful gift idea.
You could give a blank one with a new piece of chalk so the recipient is able to change the message.
Or you could customize your message.
You could make one for a grandma listing all her grandchildren,
you could give one to a teacher that says, "Love to teach,"
or you could write one that says, "I love you."
The possibilities are endless.

Thanks for stopping by and God bless.

Be of good courage,
and He shall strengthen your heart,
all you who hope in the Lord.
Psalm 31:24
