Building a "Basket Full of Sunshine"

Do you need to give a gift?
Are you racking your brain trying to think of the perfect present?

Well, how about a "Basket Full of Sunshine"?
It's easier than it looks.
I started by buying a bunch of yellow items: most of them were just a dollar each. The most expensive item was the candle, which I got for three dollars. They were all different things-lemon hand soap, a roll of Post-Its, a small stapler, pad of paper, and several boxes of candy- the only requirement was that it be yellow. I probably didn't even spend twenty dollars filling this.

Think how much fun it would be to receive a basket full of goodies!
Here's a step by step to show you how to build a gift basket

Determine how large of a basket you want to use.
The larger the basket, the more you have to buy to fill it!
Mine was around 8"x 11".
I spray painted it turquoise.

Next you'll need some sort of basket filler.

Fill the basket about half full.

Place two larger items angling to the left and right. These should stick up pretty far so they'll be able to be seen once you get everything into the basket.
You may need to scoot extra filler underneath these items to make them stand tall.
Place one item just in front of them.

Now go with two more items making sure that they stand in front of the previous one.

Place one more item in front of those two, then start adding smaller items around the front.

Your goal is to make sure that everything can be seen at one glance.
I chose all yellow items sticking with the sunshine theme.
I thought my blue basket was like the blue sky and the white filler like clouds.
Is that a little too cheesy?

To finish it off, add a yellow ribbon with a gift tag. I ran my tag through the printer.
You could hand write it if you'd rather.

I thought this would be a good idea for Valentine's Day, although it would work for any holiday.
Thanks for stopping by and God bless.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name;
make known His deeds among the peoples!
Psalm 105:1
