Cupid's Craft Corner

Don't ya just love Valentine's Day?
I sure do.
Who wouldn't love a holiday that celebrates with flowers, and chocolates, and love notes?
Those are three of my favorite things:)

I made a few fun crafts to celebrate this lovely day.

This candle holder is sweet and simple.
It has a strip of burlap topped with a red flower that's tied on with some twine.

I got the glass jar at a dollar store. Everything else I had on hand.

I also made two glittery candle holders.
Wouldn't this trio make a darling centerpiece?
Perhaps with some Red Hots sprinkled around them like confetti.

To make the glitter candle holders, I mixed Elmer's glue with some water
and brushed it inside my jar.
Then I sprinkled glitter onto the glue.
So easy.

I loved the glitter look so much that I made one in silver, too.

Would you believe that I got these glasses for a dime? They were on clearance
in the Target dollar section.

Recently I picked up some heart cookie cutters at a yard sale.
I knew they were destined for more than just cookie dough.
I covered them with:
twine
red lace
white and red ribbon
strips of old book pages
Then I used strips of fabric as hangers.

I hung them on my stick arrangement which happens to already be decorated for Valentine's Day.

What do you think? Are you feeling the love?

Thanks for stopping by and God bless.

I will love You, O Lord, my strength.

this is what I want to do more of, craft out of every day items...but the hard part for me, being able to recognize fast enough the use of an object and do that project right away, or else not going to happen. I just need to assign a place and label that space where I can throw future crafting projects...
