Chocolate Sugar Cookie Bars
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup sour cream
2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Frosting
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup milk
1-2 tsp vanilla
3 Tbsp cocoa
2-3 cups powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9"x 13" baking sheet.
In a large bowl, mix butter and sugars. Add the egg, vanilla, and sour cream, and mix well.
Add the dry ingredients and combine. Press into the pan. Bake for 13-14 minutes, but don't over bake.
While bars are cooling, make frosting. Mix ingredients with a hand mixer until smooth. Add powdered sugar and milk until you get the desired consistency. Spread over bars. Cover with sprinkles.
These bars are as good as they look. I'm a big fan of soft cookies, and these are nice and soft.
I got this recipe from sixsistersstuff.com
