Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Fudge
for the cookie dough:
1/2 cup butter, room temp.
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
2 Tbsp half and half
1/2 cup flour
for the fudge:
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup butter
pinch of salt
1/3 cup half and half
4-5 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Line an 8"x 8" pan with foil, leaving some extra up along the edges. Spray with cooking spray. (Or use nonstick foil which is what I did.)
Beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy- about 3 minutes. Add salt, vanilla, and half and half and stir. Add flour and mix until incorporated. Set aside.
For the fudge, combine brown sugar, butter, salt, and half and half in a saucepan. Stir over medium low heat until the butter has melted and the brown sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and slowly stir in the powdered sugar, adding 1 cup at a time. Stir in vanilla.
Add the cookie dough to the fudge base and stir well. Mix in chocolate chips. Spread in pan. Chill, then cut into 1" squares.
This is some of the best fudge I've ever tasted! Even my hubby loved it and he usually won't eat anything that is cookie dough flavored. It's an easy recipe as there's no bringing it to a rolling boil. I think this would be a great gift idea!
Thanks for stopping by and God bless.
