Lovelies That I Love

Father's Day is just a few days away.
Check out some of these manly finds I came across. . .

This t-shirt is great.
You choose the number based on how many kids you have.
Cute, huh?

How funny is this mug?
It would be perfect for my boys to give to my hubby.

Check out this cool money clip.

I know a tie is a pretty cliché gift, but this one looks like a library card.
There's nothing cliché about that!

I think this leather camera strap is so nice.
It can be personalized with latitude and longitude coordinates.

Mini Album Monday #56- "Best Dad" Album

In honor of Father's Day, I have a fun "Dad" album to share with you today.
Sometime ago, I made this book for my dad and filled it full of photos and memories.

The cover is a piece of  5"x8" Tim Holtz Grungeboard.
I distressed it and added a sticker for the title.
I punched holes in a small paint stirring stick and added it to the binding rings.
I also used quite a few nuts, bolts, and screws on the cover and throughout the album.

The first page is a 6"x 9" manilla envelope folded in half.
I embellished it with a few pieces of masking tape (upper left corner)
and a piece of leather with a metal washer (lower right corner).

On the back of the first page, I added some wood grain paper. The journaling prompt says,
 "My favorite memory of you."
The second page is a brown paint chip embellished with duct tape, electrical tape, masking tape, and a couple of brads shaped like screws.

I covered the back of the paint chip with a page from a vintage home repair book.
The small envelope is covered with a piece of duct tape. The journaling prompt on it says,
"My funniest memory."
The tag pulls out with a journaling prompt that says, "Most meaningful moment." On the top of the tag, I attached a small zip tie.

The next page is another page out of the home repair book.

The journaling on the left says, "Things I learned from you."
On the right, the journaling says, "My favorite picture of you and me."
The page on the right is the other half of the 6"x 9" envelope. I tucked an additional photo
 inside the opening.

The page on the left says, "The best advice you gave me."
The back cover is a piece of cardboard.
On it, I placed a distressed CD envelope with a piece of cardstock inside it that says,
 "More favorite memories."

I had a great time incorporating as many manly things as I could into this album.
I'm glad to have these memories documented and my dad was tickled pink to get it.

Thanks for stopping by and God bless.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.

Lovelies That I Love

With Father's Day coming, I took a browse through Etsy to find some manly gifts.
There was so much great stuff.
Here's a peek of what I found. . .

I can't get over how stinkin' cute this father/child shirt set is.
The acorn doesn't fall far from the tree. . .

This mug would put a smile on any dad's face!

This keyring is awesome.

This personalized burlap print would be a beautiful gift.

These typewriter key cuff links are so unique.
Love them!

Show those dads some love.
We're all so blessed to have them.

Mini Album Monday #4- Father's Day Album

Since Father's Day is coming up this weekend, I thought I'd feature a dad themed album for Mini Album Monday.

For this album, I used a file folder and folded it into thirds.
I chose brown papers and a set of father stickers by 7 Gypsies.

This album is a trifold.
This is the first page (the backside of the cover). I cut a heart out of dictionary paper and adhered it over the pattern background. Then I used one of my favorite photos of my hubby and our boys. On the two tags, I wrote a funny story about a conversation between my hubby and each boy.

This is the flap on the right side. I covered each section with pattern paper. On this one, I placed two photos with a tag for pull-out journaling behind the larger photo.
Once you open this flap, you get to the center of the book.

Here is the center section and the right side.
The right side has a photo with another pull-out tag for journaling.
The center has two pieces of cardstock with journaling and additional photos.

Here is a glimpse of the open trifold.
I printed off several questions for my boys to answer about their dad:
What is your dad really good at?
What can you do better than Dad?
How are you like Dad?
How are you different from Dad?
How old is Dad?
How tall is Dad?
What one thing is Dad always saying to you?
What did you and Dad do together that you'll always remember?
How do you know that Dad loves you?

The center piece lifts up to show more photos.

Another flap lifts up for even more photos and a few questions that my hubby answered.
The first questions were about his childhood:
What did you want to be when you grew up?
How did you help out around the house?
What did you do in the summertime?
What were you most afraid of?
The next questions have to do with him being a dad:
What do you enjoy doing with your kids?
What's your favorite memory from when your kids were babies?
What have you learned from being a father?
What do you find yourself doing that your father used to do?

On the back, I used just one piece of pattern paper and added a "Dedicated to" sticker.

Thanks for stopping by and God bless.

And He said, "Therefore I have said to you that no one
can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father."
John 6:65
