Some of My Favorite Reading Material

We are heading out for a three day mini-vacation, so I don't have a project to show you today.
I do, however, want to share with you what I'll be reading in the car.

I have a subscription to this magazine,
and I am giddy when I open the mailbox and see it sitting there waiting for me.

I just saw that Walmart has it in their newsstand as well.
Or you can go here to get your own copy.

Thanks for stopping by and God bless.

I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples

Check This Out!

I checked my mail this morning and guess what I found in the mailbox?!?

My favorite magazine!
Isn't it so inviting?

I love thumbing through the pages and looking at all the beautiful photos.
It always makes me want to stop what I'm doing and hit the thrift stores.

If you've never read this magazine, I suggest you go get yourself an issue.
I'm not affiliated with it, but I highly recommend it:)
Here's where you can find single issues
and here's where you can subscribe.

Thanks for stopping by and God bless.

Lovelies That I Love

One of the biggest shopping days of the year is nearly upon us,
and, yes, I am one of the crazy people who go out on Black Friday.
But if I can be honest, I think I'd rather just stay home and find cute deals like these. . .

Who doesn't love marquee letters?!?
I love the look of this one.
It's the initial of my last name and in one of my favorite colors!

Can you believe this bracelet is made with part of a wine cork?
I love it! The graphic is awesome!

I am such a fan of cute little buttons.
These are awesome.
I think I'd like a machine so I could make these . . .

Isn't this monogrammed wreath beautiful?
I love the red berries and the printed ribbon.

This vintage pitcher is so lovely.
I just love old dishware:)

You won't see unique stuff like this on Black Friday!

I'm not associated with any of these companies, I just like their stuff.

Thanks for stopping by and God bless.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

Lovelies That I Love

If my calculations are correct, Christmas is only six weeks away.
How did that happen? Didn't school just start?!?

I love to get some of my Christmas shopping out of the way by ordering online and from catalogs.
I find some unique gifts without having to step out my door.

Here are some darling things that I think would make great gifts. . .

Isn't this chevron purse cute?
I love the shape and I especially love those gray stripes!

Look how pretty this Silver Opal Ring is.
It has a very vintage look.
You can find it here

How about these awesome Hanging Mason Jar Candle Holders?
Love them!!

These note cards are made from an old London map.
They make me want to catch up on my correspondence:)

If you give somebody cute note cards as a gift, you may later receive a note in the mail.
That's a win-win.

The reader in me is drawn to this Library Book Necklace.
It would also make an awesome teacher gift.

Isn't this stuff just too cute?

Thanks so much for stopping by and God bless.

Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous,
and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

Check This Out!

In last week's Lovelies That I Love post,

The creator of this plaque, Misty, happened across this post and wanted to offer all my readers
a 10% discount on anything in her store Misty Michelle Design.
Use the code THANKYOU2014

How fantastic is that?!?

Here's some more of her beautiful work:

I love this one.

Not only do I like her quotes, but I think the pictures she pairs with them with are awesome.
You can find this one here.

This one makes me smile.

There are just so many to choose from- you just have to stop by and take a look!
Thanks so much, Misty!
I can't wait to come by and do some Christmas shopping:)
Thanks for stopping by and God bless.

Lovelies That I Love

Have I told you how much I love looking at Etsy?
Cause I do.
I'll be honest and say that I've bought very little (but that's because I'm a tightwad),
but I could spend hours pouring over it all.
Take a look at this cool stuff. . .

I love these key chains! The postmarks are so unique.
You can customize them with names or dates.
What a great gift idea.

What do you think of this plaque?
I think it's great- I'd love to hang one in our house- actually any of the signs from this shop.
They have so many awesome ones to choose from.

Who can't use an old wooden bobbin? :) They're so beautiful.
You can find this one here.

I have a small collection of alphabet stamps.
I love that this set comes not only with both upper and lower case, but also
with a case to store the stamps!
What a deal!

This t-shirt is so pretty.
I actually could use some more cute t-shirts. . .

Wasn't that fun?
That's it for today. Stop back by every other Wednesday for more goodies that I've found.

By the way, I am not affiliated with any of these companies, I just like their stuff.

Thanks so much for stopping by and God bless.

Vintage Style Magazine: A Favorite of Mine

It's here. . .

the winter issue of Vintage Style Magazine!

I just picked up a copy at my friendly neighborhood Wal-mart.
Can't wait to grab a comfortable seat and feast my eyes on every awesome page.

What a great way to start the weekend!
Hope you all have a good one!

Thanks so much for stopping by and God bless.

Lovelies That I Love

I was browsing through the home decor section at Etsy and saw so many lovely things. . .

like this beautiful pillow
I love that you can customize it with names and a date.
It would be a darling wedding shower or anniversary gift.
I have a thing for cute pillows. My door couch is covered in them.

This one would be so pretty hanging on my front door.

This melted Mason jar can be used as a spoon rest, butter dish, soap tray or a cheese tray.
Isn't it too cute?

I think this clock is awesome! (read in sing-songy voice)
It's a vinyl record- can you believe it?
I don't know how they were able to cut it out so perfectly. . .

They come in a set of six.
I could definitely incorporate these into my living room decor.

Well, I could show you darling item after darling item, but I'll stop here for today.
Don't you just love Etsy? I sure do.
I think I'll be doing quite a bit of Christmas shopping there this year.

P.S. I am not affiliated with any of these businesses, I just like their products.

Thanks so much for stopping by and God bless.

Blessed be the Lord forevermore!

Lovelies That I Love

This week's features are some of my favorites. . .
items that I love, items that I'd truly like to have.

I love anything made by Beth Quinn Designs.
Isn't this necklace fabulous?
This website has so many different beautiful choices- they'd make great gifts!

How beautiful is this ring by The Vintage Pearl?
I love that you can have your own message written on it.
You can find it here.
They have all types of jewelry- much of it customizable.

I know I've shared one of Selina Vaughn's grain sack purses before,
but a list of my favorites wouldn't be complete without including one of these:)
I think this one would be perfect for me because I grew up in Iowa- the tall corn state.
You can it here

I. Love. Clogs.
For real.
I've wanted a pair for my whole adult life.
How darling are these clogs?

I also love vintage typewriters.
Twice I've had one of these within my grasp, but just didn't have the money at the time to buy them.
What a beauty.
Such a shame that I missed out.

What do you think? Are any of my favorites your favorites?

P.S. My hubby could actually use this post as my Christmas wish list. . . (hint, hint)

Thanks so much for stopping by and God bless.

Lovelies That I Love

I've been cruising Etsy again.
I just got an awesome new phone and Etsy was one of the first aps that I downloaded.
Since I showed you a handmade journal on Monday, I thought I'd show you
some ideas if you've been wanting a journal . . .

If you love the idea of a handmade journal/mini album,
but don't have the time or materials to make one, this one is awesome!
It's complete and ready to become your journal, Smash album, 30 Days of Lists album,
or any other kind of album you can think of.

If you prefer less of a handmade look to a journal, how about this beautiful leather one?
I just love this cover-both the bike image and the worn and well-loved look!
You can find it here.

You can go here to get a pack of awesomeness to put together your own album.
I have to admit that I get a little giddy when I see all this
old paraphernalia bundled together like this:)

I totally dig these map tags.
You can find them here.
You could use these in any of the above albums or as gift tags.

My last find isn't paper related, but still falls into the writing theme.

I absolutely fell in love with this locket necklace when I saw it!
It's magnetic with interchangeable centers-I love every single one of them!
Swoon. . .

What a great way to end this show and tell.
I hope you are as excited about this stuff as I am:)
Thanks so much for stopping by and God bless.

By the way, I'm not affiliated with any of the above stores, I just love their products.

Behave courageously, and the Lord will be with the good.

Have You Heard of 30 Days of Lists?

For quite sometime, I've wanted to try this challenge by
30 Days of Lists.
Finally, I'm going to do it.

Here's what it's all about (from their blog):

Not everyone can make a mini scrapbook every week or an art journal page every night.
30 Days of Lists is our encouragement and challenge to you that you CAN journal just something every day- even something as small as a list.
Every day through the month of September 2014 we will be posting a list prompt – anything from weekend goals to celebrity crushes. At the end of the 30 days you’ll have a collection of entries creating a small snapshot of your life right now.
Only 5-10 minutes per day are really needed. While you’re waiting for someone, or when you’re the passenger in the car. You can even download the list topics ahead of time to get a jump start!
That’s all.
Just write.

Sounds do-able, doesnt' it?
I'm super excited to finally try it.
What about you?

You can go here to register.

I went to their blog and found some previous lists that they had posted.
I made a quick page to feature the list I chose: my to-do list.
Only took me 10 minutes and was lots of fun. Because it's so low key, I didn't feel any pressure to make it perfect or to spend too much time on it. Love it!

I'm not affiliated with this organization- I just like this idea :)

Come back on Monday and I'll show you the mini album that I'll be using for this project.

Thanks for stopping by and God bless.

Wait for the Lord, and He will save you.
Proverbs 20:22

Repurposed Inspiration

I just love secondhand shopping and the thrill of looking for that one item that can be
cleaned up, repurposed, or turned into something amazing.

I get inspiration from several places. . .
magazines, blogs, and tv shows like the Junk Gypsies.
I thought I'd share a few of my favorites.

We'll start with my reading list.

This title says it all: Vintage Style.

When I read magazines like this, my hands just itch to get out and go shopping.

This one is always awesome.

This is the first issue I've read of this one. My sister got a subscription for me for Christmas.
Totally great gift- totally great magazine!

There are lots of blogs that inspire me. Here are a few of my favorites . . .

Hopefully some of these may inspire you, too.
Thanks for stopping by and God bless.

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and give praise.

Check This Out!

It's spring break at the Sexton house and we're currently camping,
so the Layout of the Week will be back next Wednesday.
Meanwhile, I wanted to let you know that the newest edition is out!

This is totally one of my favorite magazines!
Reading it makes me want to immediately head out to the thrift stores:)

Thanks for stopping by and God bless.

More Lovelies That I Love

I love, love, love tickets.
Whenever I attend a function where I have to have one to enter or when I buy a raffle ticket, I always keep the ticket- even if it's just a stub. I'm not kidding. I don't know what my facination is with them.
Today I'm going to show you some awesome ticket themed products I've found.

Check out this cute paper by Maggie Holmes. . . covered in tickets!
Love it!

How awesome is this ticket themed Washi tape?
So awesome!

How about a ticket punch so you can make your own? Here's one by EK Success.

Or, if you want the real deal, here's a roll of vintage carnival tickets that I found on Etsy. Swoon!
I was so taken with these, I nearly ordered them on the spot!

This style of ticket is great because you can personalize them with stamps
or use them as  journaling tags.
There are a variety of colors to choose from at this Etsy store.
I've been known to use these as tags on gifts.

What do you think? Have I won you over?

Thanks for stopping by and God bless.

But You, O Lord, are a shield for me.
